L'Arene du Nimes
On our way to Bordeaux we decided to stop in Nimes and explore the Roman ruins we’d heard so much about. L’Arene du Nimes is the best preserved Roman arena in the world and is still currently in use as a modern-day concert venue.
We were awed by the magnificance of the arena and thought this picture captured a bit of its grandiosity and strength; coupled with the electric-blue sky, it was the perfect picture.
