Project Vagabond: Vine Basics

For our foray into vine management in the South of France, we feel it would be more interesting to watch the vines develop through video as well as pictures. As I mention in the video, the vines we are working with are a bit more gnarly than most others you will see in a vineyard or at a chateau.

This photograph is an example of our vines compared to the more common vine training method used here in Provence and also in the Napa Valley.

For additional reference, here is a closer look at the main parts of the vine that may have been hard to see on the video:

Jeff, it is so great to learn from you, it is very interesting to understand more about the wine from the ground up, and I just thought I liked to drink wine. The vines are beautiful and you are handsome and I look forward to more videos!
